VIÑEDO & BODEGA
El viñedo es un sueño hecho realidad para los propietarios, pero para uno de ellos, la vinificación es una tradición familiar. Al crecer en un viñedo en Alemania viendo a su abuelo cuidar las vides año tras año, cultivó un profundo amor por la viticultura y últimamente fue la inspiración para este proyecto único.
Los Dos Caballeros
Con la ayuda de un enólogo local y tras un cuidadoso análisis del suelo y las condiciones climáticas, nació el proyecto.
Los propietarios decidieron plantar cuatro variedades de uva; sauvignon blanc, merlot, garnacha y la variedad mallorquina manto negro, que les permiten producir vinos blancos, tintos y un rosado.
Vino Y Uvas
El vino blanco es un sauvignon blanc, seco pero afrutado. Esta variedad está plantada frente a la piscina y la casa principal y, por tanto, es la parte del viñedo directamente visible desde los alojamientos.
The red grapes are grenache (garnacha), a very old and heat resistant grape varietal from Spain, which we mainly use to produce a Provence style rosé. These vines are grown in the more rocky and sandy parts of our vineyard. The second red grape is merlot, which will add body and color to our main red wine, a grenache and merlot blend. Our latest addition is a small field of Manto Negro, a local mallorcan grape, which we are going to use to produce a light and fresh red wine once the grapes are ready to be used.
The merlot grapes are located in the fields at the entrance to the winery, while the grapes for the rosé are planted on the fields to the left and right of the sauvignon blanc in front of the main house. The Manto Negro is planted right in front of the new bodega.
Sostenibilidad
At Los Dos Caballeros winery, we care for the environment and try to be sustainable wherever possible. We have installed a state of the art solar energy system which delivers power to the whole finca and the bodega. We remain almost completely self-sufficient by using renewable energy. We implement eco-friendly farming practices and never use harmful chemicals or pesticides. We take sustainablity all the way to our at “km 0” produced wines, using bottles made of recycled glass and lables printed on recyled paper.
La Tienda Online
All our wines are available for sale in our Online Shop. We deliver free of charge on Mallorca (orders of 2 boxes minimum). However, our wine is also available for direct sale and pick up in our Bodega and also in selected restaurants on Mallorca, Barcelona and Frankfurt/Main (Germany).
